When most people think about dentures, they picture artificial teeth that are obviously fake because they look too perfect. Years ago, this was definitely the case as dentists were limited by materials and techniques available at the time.
However, patients no longer have to face denture treatment with dread! The days of fake, one-size-fits-all dentures are long past! At the office of Jeffrey J. Tibbs, DDS, we use updated technology and materials and work with skilled technicians who create dentures so natural looking that all anyone notices is a healthy, beautiful smile!
Today's dentures don’t just look natural; they also help maintain the overall health and function of your smile. Custom dentures replace lost teeth so you can speak, eat, and chew without difficulty or discomfort.
Dr. Tibbs has 30 years’ experience and offers our patients traditional removable dentures as well as the security of state-of-the-art implant-supported dentures. Both options allow us to customize your dentures to meet your unique needs and desires.
We know that it can take a little time to get used to the idea of wearing dentures. But most of our denture patients get excited about the prospect as we begin the important process of customizing their dentures. We use updated materials and techniques that give us the opportunity to work with you to design full or partial dentures that fit your smile in every way.
Your new dentures will be carefully crafted to conform to the contours of your jaw and gums. Esthetics are just as important as fit, so we invite you to sit back and enjoy our relaxing amenities while we work with you to design dentures that look and fit better than you ever thought possible.
Traditional (or conventional) dentures are removable prosthetics that sit on your gums and are held in place by suction and adhesives.
After careful planning, we send the specifications to a top dental lab where highly skilled technicians craft your dentures. The base of your denture is designed to form a comfortable, secure seal with the gums, and technicians expertly place artificial teeth individually in the gum-colored acrylic base to mimic the positioning of natural teeth.
While the process for creating your dentures is pretty much the same with implant-supported dentures, the difference is that they are secured to your jaw with dental implants placed surgically in your gums. These dentures are designed with attachments that line up with the implants and hold them securely in place.
Combining implants with dentures provides the most comfortable and secure fit possible.
